Light is not just an illuminator; it accentuates critical features of a building or elements while shadow promotes privacy or introduces captivating visual intrigue. Light plays an essential role in architecture, illuminating colors, shapes and textures and transforming a structure into a vibrant and dynamic entity. Whether it comes from natural or artificial sources, light plays a key role in defining spaces, creating atmosphere, and enhancing aesthetic qualities.
For example, soft, diffused sunlight can evoke a serene ambiance in an area, while a focused beam can draw attention to a specific architectural detail or work of art.
In this urban photographic project, these are moments where light enhances recent but also old international architecture, collected in various countries.
