The wrinkles in the life - The women of the wilderness / As rugas da vida - As mulheres do sertão

The photographic production of the current lives of women in the Brazilian northeastern, and more specifically mature women, is still not satisfactory if we compare it to the volume produced in other historiographical fields.

I wanted to show through an immersive photographic project that the particularities of these regions of the caatinga biome in northeastern wilderness, with their semi-arid climate, heat and harsh activities, have consequences over time. I cannot forget to also add the health situation, sociocultural influences and socioeconomic conditions, factors that accentuate the physiognomy and physiology of women.

These are some of them that I show, daily in the communities, at different times, without pose, without studio or artifice, the true woman of the wilderness.
